Rab

The Island of Rab is situated 10 miles east of the island of Cres and 6 miles south of the island of Krk. The Paski Kanal runs between the islands of Pag and Rab. The northern strong wind called Bura (pronounced Bora) stripped almost all vegetation from the east side of the island, while the western side is full of pines, olive groves, and vineyards. The island of Rab is well known for its beautiful sheltered beaches.

The main attraction on the island is the town of Rab itself, famous for its churches and bell towers that date back to the 12th century. On the north side of the island is the Lopar Peninsula that has more than 20 extraordinary beaches surrounded by pine forests.

If you are coming to the island by yacht (sailing yacht, catamaran, motor boat or gulet) you can be sure you will find a berth in the town’s Marina that has more than 140 berths. It is situated on the western side of the island (sheltered side). At Marina Supetarska Draga (situated some eight miles NNW by sea) you can find more than 240 berths available for sailors.

It doesn’t matter whether you are coming with friends or family, make sure you take your yacht (sailing yacht, catamaran, motor boat or gulet) to visit the island of Rab and discover the beauty of the Adriatic Sea with Lighthouse Yacht Charter Croatia.
