We will take you on a special sailing trip and show you wineries where the most delicious Croatian wine is produced, prized and acknowledged by worldwide wine lovers, experts and passionate followers of enology.

Here are some of the most famous wines from the coastal regions of Croatia:

Zinfandel

Zinfandel was, for years, considered an American wine. The grape found its settlement in California in the early 1800s. The climate and topography of regions in California (like Napa, Sonoma and Mendocino) suited the grapes perfectly. Mike Grgich (co-founder of the Grgich Hills Estate in Napa) found the taste quite similar to what his father used to produce in Croatia. And the rest is history.

Apart from the wine-tasting, you will be able to try local specialties like cheese, prosciutto, olives, honey and various other products.

Our experienced staff will take you around Croatian islands of Brac, Vis, Solta and Hvar.

Not only will your taste buds tingle, but the whole atmosphere itself will leave you speechless: the sounds, the scents, the scenery is out of this world.

Malvazija

This dry white wine is indigenous to Istria. It has a pale lemon, almost golden color. The aroma has a ripe yellow fruit sensations such as peach, apricot and lemon. It is dry, medium bodied, with a slightly oily texture.

If you decide to charter your sailing yacht, catamaran, gulet or motor boat in Istria you can try risotto with scampi, white fish, scallops or istrian fuži paired with this delicious award winning white wine.

Teran

One of the best-known Istrian red wines is definitely Teran. It has a rich and robust character. If you are looking for an authentic experience or something new, Teran is the right choice for you. People say it has the color of rabbit’s blood. If you swirl it around in your glass, you can catch a glimpse of purple tones. The scent of raspberries prevails in its aroma. Teran is an excellent match for all meat and wild game dishes, as well as prosciutto and cheese.

Plavac Mali

A dry red wine that pairs well with seafood. Although it does not come from the Dingač area (where most of the plavac mali varieties come from) its origin is the island of Hvar. The aromas remind of dark fruit, lavender, plum, chocolate, earth, and cloves. The structure of the wine is unique and exceptional. It pairs well with meat dishes like Pasticada, a beef stewed dish in an extraordinary sauce that contains everything from Prosecco to even peaches.

Take a tour around the island of Hvar and give your taste buds a taste of local cuisine. After you finish your meal, take a bottle of your favorite wine back to your yacht, catamaran, gulet or motor boat as you sail into the sunset.

Posip

Posip is a white wine with an intense aroma. The flavor of the wine makes you think of dried apricots and figs. It pairs well with all fish or shellfish dishes and it is a great cool down during the warm summer nights. If you like a little nibble during the tasting, try it with prosciutto or local cheese.

It is grown on the island of Korcula, but you can find it also on the island of Hvar and the Peljesac peninsula.
